CHOIRS

PREPARING HEARTS FOR WORSHIP

If you have walked through the double red doors of First Presbyterian Church’s sanctuary, you know that our choir can sing to the heavens. Whether it be a hymn on Sunday morning or a church-wide sing along on Wednesday nights, the beauty of their music brings us all closer to God.

Our Chancel Choir, currently under the direction of Dr. Hye-Sook Jung, works diligently to connect us with God’s presence through the gift of music. Our choir meets on the first and third Wednesday nights of each month at 7:00 p.m. to rehearse the next Sunday’s music. The choir is always looking for others to join them in their ministry.

Our Handbell Choir, led by volunteer director Cathy Shelton, is a lively group of enthusiastic ringers, many of whom also sing in the Chancel Choir. The Handbell Choir practices each Wednesday night of the month. On the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Wednesdays, they meet from 7:00–8:00 p.m. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, they meet from 8:00–8:30 p.m. immediately following Chancel Choir practice. The Handbell Choir performs in worship once a month and on other special occasions.
