Fighting Human Trafficking-Well House Director, Carolyn Potter & Jordan A. Giddens, Finance Director, Memeber Resource Liaison and Legislative Assistant for the Alabama House Democratic Caucus

Halting Human Trafficking is a non-profit organization that engages the legal community to help eliminate trafficking by: 1) Providing pro-bono legal services for victims and anti-human trafficking organizations 2) lobbying for stronger and more protective legislation and 3) educating and increasing public awareness about the prevalence of this issue. By offering spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical support services, The Well House provides a safe residential environment to women who have been exploited through human trafficking. The name, The Well House, is taken from The Bible’s story of the Samaritan woman at the well, because we are a “place where women never have to thirst again” John 4:11-15. Carolyn and Jordan will talk about their work to assist and minister to victims of human trafficking.
