WHAT TO EXPECT

At First Presbyterian Church, worship lifts the spirit, and serving changes lives. We are a Christ-centered, justice-oriented, inclusive community. And each Sunday, we begin worship by reciting our faith statement together: “Whoever you are; wherever you come from; whatever you skin color, or income level, or gender identity; whomever you love; whatever your faith or your doubts; we welcome ALL whom God welcomes. And friends, that means YOU!” This statement grounds and unites us in all that we seek to do together as a community of faith.

FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP

Worship – 11:00am on Sundays

FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH

Children’s Chapel – each Sunday during worship

Our children's and youth ministry provides Bible study, learning projects, and fellowship to help nurture and grow their faith.

FOR ADULTS

Adult Sunday School – 9:45am on Sundays

We offer studies, classes, and groups to challenge, comfort, and connect. We embrace questions and wrestle with real world issues. Our ministry teams offer opportunities to serve Christ in the church and in the world.

PARKING

You’ll find plenty of street parking around the church on 4th Ave. N. or other nearby streets.

There is a municipal metered lot directly behind the church off of 5th Ave. N.

You can also park in the parking deck on the corner of 4th Ave. N. and 22nd St. N.

FIRST SUNDAYS

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion during worship, and ALL are invited to the Table. After worship, we also have our “First at First Potluck Lunch” on the first Sunday of each month. The gathering is casual, and we invite you to come as you are, with or without a dish. There's always plenty of food to go around.

FELLOWSHIP

On each Sunday, we invite all to gather in the Narthex following worship for coffee, snacks, and fellowship. This casual time gives people a chance to catch up with one another.

FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND

A new place can be intimidating. To help you navigate our space, there are maps at our building entrances and greeters in the Narthex to welcome you and answer your questions. We want to ensure that your visit is a comfortable one.

WHAT TO WEAR

More important than what you wear to church, we want you to be comfortable here. Among our congregation, you'll find everything from suits to blue jeans on a Sunday morning. Dress up or dress down, it doesn’t matter to us. We just want you here.
